Marilou Klapwijk (1990) creates work that caresses and bites simultaneously. Cotton candy colored, recognizable objects are placed in less than attractive situations, critiquing familiar elements. The scenes are comprised of fragments from a conscientiously built up archive consisting of notations, one-liners, short videos and photographs. A way for Marilou to live out loud.
